A reputable hospital in the Los Angeles area is searching for a strong Director of Laboratory Services to join their growing team.

The Director of Laboratory Services will join a 100+ bed private hospital that has received multiple awards for patient satisfaction and high performance. This facility is known to provide high-quality care for patients, and its core values reflect not only to patients but to the hospital staff.

The Laboratory Services Director will report to the Chief Operations Officer. This person will be supported by a tenured Laboratory Manager, a Laboratory Shift Supervisor as well as a talented team of Medical Laboratory Technicians and Laboratory Support Technicians. 

The Laboratory Director will oversee and coordinate all activities for all laboratory employees, instrumentation, and supplies that are used to perform Clinical Laboratory and Pathology Services within the hospital. The Director will develop clear performance expectations and resolve performance problems. In addition to these aspects, the director will also help develop and maintain the departmental budget, as well as regulatory compliance. This person will ensure that all employees in the Laboratory Department will have evaluations completed and job standards reviewed. The Director will also ensure that all laboratory regulatory requirements are met to assure full compliance with California Lab standards.
