Maximus is seeking a Senior OpenShift/Kubernetes Engineer to work remotely in support of one of our federal clients.

This individual must possess an excellent understanding of containerization with concentration in OpenShift and Kubernetes and the ability to work in an Agile environment collaborating with Architects, Engineers, Developers, Testers, and Analysts. Responsibilities included, but are not limited to:
•Serve as a team lead as part of a technical team responsible for the overall support and management of multiple OpenShift Container Platform clusters across multiple environments on-premises and in the cloud
•Team with other professionals to design, architect, test, install, and deploy solutions based on Red Hat technologies in a hybrid cloud/on-prem environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
•Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance. Due to federal requirements, only US Citizens can be considered, and dual Citizens cannot be considered.
•Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related scientific or technical discipline required. A high school diploma, GED, or qualifying equivalent along with an additional four (4) years of work-related experience can be used in lieu of the Bachelor's degree requirement.
•8+ Years of IT experience.
•7+ years of experience with Linux operating systems including installing, configuring, and troubleshooting.
•4+ Years of experience with maintenance and administration of Kubernetes platforms, preferably OpenShift.
•3+ Years of experience with: CI/CD framework, DevOps methodologies, and tooling (Jenkins, Tekton, Gitlab).
•Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development framework leveraging tools like Jira/Confluence.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:
•Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification
•Red Hat Certified Specialist (RHCS) in OpenShift Administration certification
•Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) certification is a plus
•Working experience with storage using Red Hat OpenShift Data Foundation
•Extensive knowledge of Advanced Cluster Management is a plus
•Ability to manage and maintain a comprehensive security posture through tools like Advanced Cluster Security, JFrog Xray, Tenable, and Clair
•Service Mesh (Istio) experience is a plus
•Certified or relative working experience in Cloud Platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
•Proficient with CI/CD workflows and tools such as Gitlab, Tekton, Maven, Quay, and Artifactory

Pay Transparency

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards.
