POSITION SUMMARY

As a critical team member within the Bid Strategy Team, the Expansion Planning and Analytics lead will be responsible for developing the multi-year service area expansion and optimization priorities in close collaboration with Medicare Leadership. The advisor will also be responsible for developing and overseeing the service area execution plan, ensuring execution risk mitigation plans are in place and communicating progress to stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Supports the evaluation of markets to enable the achievement of segment goals and priorities

  • Develops understanding of local market dynamics, competitive landscape, and legislative developments to make and influence decisions

  • Tracks key performance metrics throughout the service area expansion process and communicates progress, risks, and barriers to key stakeholders

  • Delivers market, customer, and product insights that are actionable for the team and support the achievement of segment goals

  • Drives cross-functional engagement with key functional leads (Contracting, Operations, Sales, Marketing, Product, etc.)

  • Analyzes market data to gain a deep understanding of market trends and benchmarks to understand profitability drivers for identified markets

  • Supports the development of strategic service area expansions that are CMS compliant, marketable, and affordable

  • Supports impact assessment of network and product development towards growth and margin

  • Understands cross-functional interdependencies to ensure go-to-market readiness

  • Refines and implements processes for ensuring smooth hand-offs to functional leads

  • Creates standard approaches that enable efficient and effective market presence in alignment with value proposition

  • Establishes an innovative culture that fosters the development of objective data-driven approaches to market research and competitive intelligence

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED


  • Bachelor's degree preferred; MBA a plus

  • Experience in R and Python preferred

  • 3+ years of relevant healthcare experience

  • Medicare Advantage knowledge-preferred

  • Experience managing cross-functional initiatives

  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to analyze data to make sound business decisions

  • Demonstrates ability to lead, influence and problem-solve across a matrixed organization

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deal with ambiguity

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and willingness to adapt to changing needs in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
