What you will enjoy doing*


  • You will observe the Material Group Strategies when creating the project related procurement strategy and bidders list in the sales phase.

  • As well you shall participate in the preparation of the proposal, including management and supervision of the project-specific procurement activities

  • Prepares the project specific procurement strategy

  • Establishes a project specific vendor list considering financial project requirements, sourcing from best cost countries and supplier experiences

  • In addition you will prepares a project procurement plan in cooperation with the scheduling department for executing all details of the procurement services

  • Prepares project specific procedures and specifications like e.g. an inquiry template and a purchase order template including all commercial special project requirements. These templates are mandatory for the purchasing of materials and equipment's. Deviation from these templates is subject to approval by the PPM

  • Prepares final bid evaluation and price comparison of the bidding PCs, prepares final decision with the PM; Participates occasionally in price negotiations

  • Informs the global PC's about the outcome of the bidding process, e.g. successful bidder, reasons for non-consideration of others, etc.

  • Controls and supervises all procurement activities in a project and provides the Project Management with a regular procurement report showing the status of the project


What makes you great


  • You will have a High School diploma or equivalent required. Masters's degree preferred

  • You will have 5-7 years' experience in similar procurement function

  • You have effective computer skills; deep knowledge of SAP-MM, familiar with Microsoft Office Software, and other Company and discipline specific software applications

  • Moreover you own effective communication skills both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the company

  • You possess a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations

  • Detail oriented, continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines is required in this role

  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and demands

The position owner will be LENA's single point of contact for all supply chain issues related to commodities including life cycle management, overall supplier relationship, proposals and purchases, aftermarket support, escalation of issues and supplier performance. Acts as the liaison between Global / Regional Suppliers and our Internal customers (Linde Engineering, Global COE, Global Plant Operations Global Hydrogen, and Research & Development) management. The Commodity manager creates winning solutions through knowledge of the industry, collaboration on market opportunities, use of frame agreements (FA's), introduction of new supplier options, knowledge of equipment and ability to deliver results through high impact negotiations.

In this role you must learn and abide the Linde Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct by demonstrating honesty, integrity, professionalism in all communications, actions, and decisions.
