As the Senior Manager, Product Design at Ingram Micro, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience for our digital platforms and products. You will lead a team of talented product designers and collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver intuitive, user-centered designs that enhance customer satisfaction and drive business growth. Your role:


  • Lead and manage a team of product designers, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to foster their growth and professional development.

  • Define the overall UX strategy and vision, aligning it with business objectives and ensuring a seamless user experience across all digital touchpoints.

  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into innovative, user-centered design solutions.

  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to inform design decisions and validate assumptions.

  • Develop and maintain design standards, guidelines, and style guides to ensure consistency and adherence to best practices.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and UX best practices, and incorporate them into the design process.

  • Champion a user-centered design approach within the organization, advocating for the importance of UX and driving a customer-centric culture.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and track UX metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of design initiatives.

  • Collaborate with external design agencies or contractors when necessary, managing the relationship and ensuring high-quality deliverables.

  • Continuously iterate and improve on design solutions based on user feedback, data analysis, and business goals.

  • Roll up your sleeves and contribute as a strategist and designer when necessary.

What you bring to the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or a related field required. Master's degree preferred.

  • Managers at this level typically have 8 + years of functional experience, including a minimum of 5 years position specific experience.

  • Mastery over product design with the ability to make significant contributions to the company.

  • Proven experience as a product design manager or lead designer, preferably managing through subordinate managers. The successful manager will have experience leading UX teams and delivering high-quality design solutions.

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating a deep understanding of UX principles, interaction design, and visual design, with a focus on digital products and platforms.

  • Proficient with design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or similar.

  • Experience with user research methodologies, usability testing, and gathering user feedback to inform design decisions.

  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to align UX strategies with business objectives.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and ability to work in a fast-paced, iterative development environment.

  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven mindset, with the ability to leverage metrics to measure the impact of design initiatives.

  • Passion for emerging technologies, industry trends, and continuous learning in the field of UX design

  • Nice to have: Experience working on complex, B2B SaaS products.

The typical base pay range for this role in Irvine, California is USD $116,600 - $157,400 - $198,200 per year.The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate's primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.At Ingram Micro certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus or sales incentives and long-term incentives. These awards are allocated based on position level and individual performance.
