Background Information: Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT), provider of automated software testing, data analysis, model-based systems engineering, and cybersecurity solutions for complex, mission-critical systems in the US Department of Defense (DOD), is seeking a Systems Engineer to be based in our Mt. Laurel, NJ an/or Arlington, VA offices. This Systems Engineer will work with a fast-paced team of mission-focused engineers to solve some of the Navy's toughest challenges. Initiative, creativity, reliability, and efficient teamwork will be required to successfully deliver innovative solutions in this dynamic customer space.
Overview: IDT seeks to add a Systems Engineer responsible for the development of integrated technical solutions across IDT's Aviation business area. This individual will contribute to developing IDT's MBSE-based automated test and analysis capabilityfortactical systems and subsystems supporting DOD platforms and communication systems such as F-35, Tomahawk, E-2D, Link-16, MQ-25, and P-8, F-16, F/A-18, and Minuteman III.
The Systems Engineer will be responsible for turning the customer's goals and needs into solutions. The Systems Engineer possesses the background and skills to communicate both with Customers and IDT designers, establishing product features and capabilities which apply automated Testing and Analysis technologies for rapid assessment and deployment of capability.
The ideal candidate will have skills applicable to instrumentation and data recording, data analysis, behavior assessment against requirements, and presentation/visualization methods to help the System Analyst understand results and take corrective actions. The Engineer will learn and understand IDT's technologies, and how to apply them to a customer's products in order to accelerate the pace of development, test, deployment, and in-service upgrade. Prior experience with MBSE methodologies, development and test processes of complex systems and embedded software is beneficial.
