Job Summary

Shipping and Receiving is a position that handles scheduling of trucks with third party carrier. This role generates the proper paperwork for material receipts and shipments and ensures positive truck flow through the facility

inbound and outbound. This role is also responsible for timely and accurate load build and shipment of customer material to meet delivery specifications and minimize freight costs

accurate inventory

and effective communication with IP

sales and corporate transportation. A successful candidate is a self-motivated multi-tasker that utilizes a strong work ethic to ensure all shipping and receiving quality levels are met.

Responsibilities


  • Have working knowledge of software system and know required screens and functions of the system
  • Be able to complete proper paperwork neatly and accurately on a timely basis
  • Routes all outgoing shipments through trucks following standard procedures
  • Prioritizes workload and expedites as required.
  • Completes necessary bills of lading and maintains daily file of shipments or receipts
  • Monitors inventory of shipping/receiving supplies and notifies manager when reorder is required
  • Operates forklift

    door plate and other equipment in shipping area that is required properly and safely.


  • Receives

    unpacks and puts materials in warehouse or designated location.


  • Checks goods received against bills of lading

    purchase orders


    etc.


  • Places materials in proper floor locations

    weighs coils as received.


  • Maintains the required clerical records and system work.
  • Operates forklift and crane properly and safely.
  • Assists in shipping/receiving as required or as needed.


Desired Experience

  • Valid State Driver License or pass vision test
  • Must have or pass WI written and driving forklift test.
  • Must have or obtain Crane Operators License.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and work well with others.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Proven ability to perform basic math calculations; add

    subtract


    multiply & divide




ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be physically able to access all areas of the plant and grounds.
  • Must be available for work on any shift or shift rotation or work schedule as needed by the company.
  • Must be able to stand for extended period of time and exert moderate to heavy (minimum 50 pounds) physical effort.
