The Data Analyst Intern, focused on Value Based Care (VBC), is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and explaining drivers of medical cost trends, and working collaboratively to impact and improve cost savings. This position will work effectively with the Data Analytics and VBC team and across all key internal and external stakeholders and thrive in an ambiguous fast paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties and tasks may be assigned.
Develop critical business insights and performance metrics through the use of complex data analysis methods and modeling.
Develop analysis to identify and explain drivers of medical cost trends, including unit cost and utilization.
Work collaboratively with key internal stakeholders, such as clinical, operations, finance, and leadership teams of value-based care organization.
Participate in business process improvement efforts to collect and analyze metrics and continually improve processes.
Obtain and analyze raw data from multiple sources to perform core job duties and to answer questions posed by internal / external customers.
Identify opportunities to create and manage processes and develop strategies to address complex data analyses and reporting requirements.
Actively promotes GUEST customer service standards; develop effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
Participates in team concepts and promote a team effort; performs duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Regular and reliable attendance is required for the job.
