The Tax Senior - US Income Tax Accounting and Compliance, will work within a talented team of tax professionals, both in the U.S. and abroad, to satisfy tax reporting requirements, capitalize on tax planning opportunities globally, and partner with our internal and external stakeholders as trusted advisors. The ideal candidate will enjoy a challenging environment that provides the opportunity for exposure to the countless interactions of a global tax department operating in today’s rapidly changing environment. 

In this position you will be responsible preparing and reviewing workpapers, related to the US Federal and US State income tax compliance. The compliance forms are prepared by a third party. Additionally, you will assist in the preparation and review of workpapers used in the he US groups’ financial reporting under ASC 740. The position requires a tax professional with US income tax compliance and ASC 740 experience.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities


  • Prepare and review workpapers associated with US federal income tax returns, quarterly estimates, and extensions.

  • Prepare key aspects of ASC 740 global income tax provision calculations for quarterly and annual SEC filings including but not limited to GAAP & Non-GAAP effective tax rate, ASC 718 calculations, tax reserves related to uncertain tax positions (ASC 740-10), valuation allowance, forecast of the AETR, cash tax rate, accounts reconciliation, quarterly analytics, journal entries, footnote disclosures, etc.

  • Review and prepare federal, state, and local income tax filings work papers

  • Assist in maintaining SOX processes and tax reporting calendars to maintain fluid communication between accounting, tax compliance, and tax accounting functions

  • Monitor and research federal, state, and local income tax legislative changes to ensure compliance within a rapidly changing global tax environment

  • Research and document corporate income tax and tax accounting issues

  • Support M&A activity, as needed, including tax due diligence and post-close integration

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance tax process efficiency and effectiveness, including tax automation and data analysis initiatives

  • Assist in Identifying and executing tax planning opportunities

  • Engage and collaborate with external advisors where appropriate

Expected Areas of Competence


  • Possess an attention to detail and strong organizational and time management skills with ability to drive tasks to completion autonomously

  • Strong accounting skills, including ability to collect, prepare and analyze data and information to reconstruct, detect, support or refute a position and ensure that explanation provided reconciles with the underlying data

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

  • Proficient in Excel and comfortable with data for analysis

  • Experience with tax provision and compliance software

Education/Experience Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting or finance; Master’s in taxation and/or CPA preferred

  • 5+ years of tax/accounting experience with a public accounting firm and/or a tax department of a multi-national corporation which involved complex entity structures and tax issues

Travel Requirements

Up to 10%
