The Principal IT Relationship Partner and Business Systems Analyst in this role will partner with Technology & Data Solutions (TDS) and/or other assigned leadership teams and key stakeholders to define opportunities, identify and prioritize projects based on predefined criteria (e.g., return on investment, productivity, compliance), and proactively serves as a “trusted advisor” and the primary IT point of contact.

The person in this role will also operate as the key contact representing IT, and promoting IT services and capabilities while providing support in delivering technology products that meet the needs of the TDS organization, and focuses on strategic initiatives and planning activities.  The person in this role will facilitate the investment intake process and the high-level planning and execution of business initiatives using technology. The person in this role will work with functional and IT stakeholders to identify and define needs/issues, document requirements, solve problems with fact-based analysis, and provide recommendations.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities


  • Engage with TDS and/or other assigned leadership teams to evaluate joint initiatives and proposals to see how they align with established roadmaps and business priorities.

  • Identify, screen, and evaluate new solution opportunities to address unmet (internal and external) customer needs.

  • Identify business value when developing ideas with a focus on digital awareness, risk assessment, business continuity and business capability requirements.

  • Engage with project and program leads within TDS (and/or other assigned leadership teams) to facilitate needs relating to core IT functions like Reporting, Data Management, Cyber-Security, File Management, Disaster Recovery, and Infrastructure needs to support the TDS Product Portfolio.

  • Facilitate the investment intake process and the high-level planning and execution of road map initiatives using technology.

  • Maintain creativity and innovation by staying on top of industry and technological trends.

  • Ensure joint initiatives are set up for success and align with the corporate IT strategy.

  • Perform research and interviews to determine IT business requirements and then translate such into specifications/User Stories for technical projects

  • Change agent for critical change projects within areas of responsibility

  • Manage project budgets

  • Determining system efficiency and functionality by liaising with internal departments and end-users.

  • Analyzing and improving the performance of assigned portfolio of applications.

  • Promoting system efficiency and security by integrating performance metrics and maintaining security standards.

  • Implementing new advancements in the field of system and enterprise architecture.

Education/Experience Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years relevant experience OR Bachelor and master’s degree with 6+ years relevant experience

  • Project Management experience preferred

  • Agile experience preferred

Travel Requirements


  • Occasional travel up to 20% as needed by business requirements
