The Enterprise Network lead is responsible for managing the Enterprise Network Team, guiding the development, maintenance, and support of highly available and scalable infrastructure, leveraging virtualized private, and based on company direction, public cloud solutions. This individual has an in-depth understanding of the technology landscape, they provide coaching and technical guidance to more junior Engineers. This individual will ensure that all solutions with related procedures adhere to organizational standards, controls and best practices according to industry standards.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
Accountable for the engineering, maintenance and support of all company connectivity including internal LAN, external WAN, Wireless Networks and Mobile Networks
Leads the evaluation, designs, and implementation products/solutions covering connectivity in all locations the data centers, and the cloud
Leads and manages the design and implementation of manufacturing networks
Owns and responsible for the company's telephony and mobility infrastructure
Ownership of coordinating regional resources in decision making for standards, process and procedures; control creation and maintenance of documentation
Mentors and provides knowledge transfer of implementations to operations/support team members
Engage with peers community at conferences, workshops, user groups and other partner/vendor meetings
Provide overall Information Technology Engineering competencies across all areas of Information Technology (i.e. cloud, compute, storage, network, security)
Proactively ensure the highest levels of operational service for all networking Infrastructure
Coordinate the team members activities
Drives Continuous Improvement
Provide expert level escalation support
Liaise with vendors and other IT team members on problem resolution
Qualifications
Sufficient education, training and/or work experience required to demonstrate possession of the following knowledge and skills
Education/Knowledge/Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar/related field
A Microsoft Azure networking, CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or Palo Alto certification is desired
Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortigate and Meraki engineering Knowledge
15+ years experience in network engineering
10+ years Supporting multiple location enterprise environment
10+ years experience in a manufacturing environment
10+ years designing, implementing and managing infrastructure monitoring solutions
10+ years experience with phone systems to include Mitel/Shortel, Teams Telephony, Cloud hosted solutions
3+ years Cloud networking Experience
Working familiarity with VMWare, Windows Operating Systems, DNS, Load Balancing, DHCP and other infrastructure management applications
Skill Requirements
Strong Oral and Written Communication including Presentation Skills
Ability to Manager Vendors / Partners
Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
Excellent understanding of ITIL Best Practices, Including Change and Incident Management
Work Requirements
Ability to travel up to 25% as required by business needs
