Position Overview
The Transformation Leader will provide deep insights into current AP processes, landscape and challenges and will help ensure that the new processes and solutions address current challenges and create significant value for the enterprise. This role will influence end to end process design and help implement solutions.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
Recommend and implement best practices that leverage technology and automation to standardize workflow and processes across multiple platforms, while ensuring necessary compliance.
Focus on Subledger to General Ledger reconciliation: Analyze current processes which impact SL and GL and recommend procedural changes to eliminate potential variances.
Process Improvement/Transformation: Help execute current process improvement efforts as well as identify/execute/control other areas to streamline.
SAP Readiness: Oversight of data cleansing in preparation of transition to new SAP system, including SL to GL as well as vendor master file. Also provide thought leadership regarding the systems conversion strategy to SAP.
SWAT team support, prioritization of work: Support these areas as necessary.
Communicate progress, risks, challenges, and accomplishments to Leadership and Stakeholders.
Review and modification of internal control processes and procedures.
Build collaborative partnerships across key AP partners.
May manage transformation support staff.
Qualifications
Sufficient education, training and/or work experience required to demonstrate possession of the following knowledge and skills
Education/Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or applicable work experience
Knowledge/Skill Requirements
10+ years of broad A/P experience
Demonstrated experience with change management
AP leadership experience
Strong Oral and Written Communication, including Presentation Skills
Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
Strong Organizational Skills
Ability to influence
Proficient in PC skills, accounting software, Internet-based programs, MS Office Suite, especially Excel
Prior experience with multiple ERP platforms or accounting systems a plus
