PURPOSE STATEMENT
Creative communicator. Lover of all-things-content. Passion for writing, creating and delivering in ways that cut through the clutter to connect with audiences. Curious and ready to test and learn, while remaining disciplined enough to also harness the tried and true. These are just some of the qualities we're looking for in our new communications content coordinator at Rich's.
This digitally-savvy individual will become part of our fast-paced Corporate Communications team, helping to shape and evolve the way we communicate with our key audiences - our associates (hey, this could be you!), our customers and our communities. From creating compelling content that helps move the needle across our global organization (did you know we're in 100+ countries around the world?), to our social media and digital spaces and everywhere in between, there's much opportunity to drive our team's efforts forward in creating and delivering messages that matter.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES
* Content Crusader
You will be the curator, creator and poster of much of the content that flows through our internal and external corporate communications channels (e.g. social channels, intranet, digital signage, etc.). You get to take the reins by developing and managing our integrated content calendar and you'll concept, create and edit engaging omni-channel content including snackable, short - and long-form; videos and visually-driven pieces. You'll work closely with our internal team and external partners - including creative agencies, freelancers and more. You'll stay on top of the analytics behind it all and be able to tell a story of what they mean. As you grow, you can also expect to advise other colleagues throughout the business on the best approach to communicate to their audience(s), so staying current on digital, social media and design best practices is a must.
* Diving into Digital
If you're curious and love to learn new things, this part of the job will speak to you. You'll serve as the day-to-day administrator of Rich's internal Corporate Communications channels including Staffbase (email), Enrich Caf? (intranet), and Appspace (digital signage), which means you'll manage all of our content flowing through them and also help others learn the tools and troubleshoot. You'll also help the team stay up to speed on the latest digital internal and external communications tools and how we can leverage them at Rich's.
* Multi-Purpose Team Player
It's always all-hands-on-deck for our small but mighty Corporate Communications team and this role is no different... which is super fun because you'll become a part of some pretty exciting and dynamic projects. This might include project manager for corporate events and leadership meetings, serving as part of event execution teams, working directly with leaders and more!
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
* Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Digital Media or a related field
* One to three (1-3) years of experience in a related role; marketing agency experience a plus
* Strong writing, story-telling and copy-editing skills, particularly for the digital world
* Digitally-savvy, allowing for quick understanding and adaption of new technology and platforms
* Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, highly dynamic business environment, with a client service-driven mindset and deliver under pressure
* Basic graphic design skills required (Photoshop and Illustrator); video editing skills a plus (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere and/or multimedia software/tools)
* Understanding of Microsoft's O365 environment strongly preferred
* Data-driven: able to understand and distill analytics to improve communications strategy and reach
* Must be a team player, understanding individual success is driven and supported by team success
