Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Directories and Recognitions, the Award Recognitions Specialist is responsible for the strategy, coordination, and execution of specialty award submissions in support of the firm's profile-raising efforts inside of the US. Primary responsibilities include identifying award opportunities, providing strategic leadership on the approach, writing, and editing submissions, and communicating the results to the appropriate parties. Performs other duties to support the firm's profile-raising activities as needed. This position interfaces with all levels of the firm as well as with external organizations involved in the award/survey processes.This position can reside in any one of our US offices (Boston, Century City, Chicago, Dallas, Hartford, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Orange County, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, Silicon Valley, or Washington, DC) with a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule.Responsibilities:Specific Duties Include:In coordination with the Directories & Recognitions, PR & Communications, and Marketing teams, this position will be responsible for spearheading the firm's participation in national award nominations and surveys inside United States, including identifying opportunities, strategizing the approach, drafting compelling nominations, and editing submissionsCollaborates with firm management, practice group and industry leaders, as well as Marketing to set goals, develop strategy, and craft compelling content for award submissionsIdentifies best practices and creates timelines, templates, and process documents for award nominationsProvides oversight and guidance to the Marketing team on the development of survey and award submissions to meet deadlinesWorks with various firm departments to gather information and proof points needed for survey responsesInterfaces with editors in connection with award opportunitiesResearches and analyzes new award opportunities and conducts competitive intelligence when necessaryMaintains, manages, and reports on the survey and awards deadline calendarCommunicates results to the appropriate partiesPerforms other duties as assignedRequirements/ Education and experienceThis job requires:Bachelor's Degree (in a related marketing, communications or journalism discipline) from a four-year college or university; and a minimum 3 years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experienceStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to interface with clients, the press and all levels of personnel within the organization.The ability to adapt to change and balance competing demandsBenefits / Why Join UsMorgan Lewis offers attractive benefits and competitive salaries.
