Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world's leading global law firms with offices in strategic hubs of commerce, law, and government across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking to hire a Profitability Analyst to provide financial and strategic support to the firm's legal departments, and practice groups.Reporting to our new Director of Pricing, the Profitability Analyst will be responsible for collaborating with client contacts, procurement teams, and other client relationships to support various financial projects while accomplishing these and other critical functions.This position will reside in our Philadelphia or New York office and offers a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule.Key responsibilities include:Provide support to Firm management, attorneys, and other administrative groups by providing legal industry practice intelligence, communicate key performance drivers and impact to the relationship, and internal data analysis to align firm goals, enhance client service, and realize pricing objectivesExecute on a robust approach and framework for the Firm's strategic pricing and matter budgeting practices/methodologiesAssess data from a variety of sources to gain insights into pricing strategies and market trendsWork collaboratively with the Firm's leadership on growing revenue, profitability, market share, and other business targetsAdvise on fee analysis, structure, and agreement on the Firm's largest and most important client relationships and matter arrangementsDevelop economic models to assess the profitability of new business proposals and assist in drafting creative, workable pricing solutions in response to client pricing demands, including AFAsInterface with client procurement and legal operation teams to establish relationships while promoting a strategic partnership & partner with Business Development & Marketing team in drafting the financial and pricing responses to client RFP submissionsMonitor pricing trends and proactively provide business interpretation and analysis of data to firm managementExperience and preferred qualifications:Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university, ideally in finance or related business discipline, and minimum of 2 years of professional experienceDemonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS Excel, MS Access, MS Word requiredQualified candidates must apply online by visiting our website at www.morganlewis.com and selecting "Careers."#LI-Hybrid#DY-1For positions in NY, the salary range for this job posting is: $71,815- $114,904.00.The base salary or hourly wage range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. The final salary or hourly wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. Additionally, salary or hourly wages may be only part of the total compensation package. The total compensation package for this position may also include a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
