Role and Responsibilities The Director, Commercial Real Estate Lending Advisor is a key member of the regional Lending Customer Advisory & Delivery team within the Americas Banking Solutions team. In this role you will demonstrate best practices in commercial lending, with an emphasis in commercial real estate origination for banking and financial institutions customers. Activities include translating customer needs, validating business requirements, recommending the appropriate lending and origination solutions, leading project scoping and team preparation, leading continued engagement during the solution onboarding to ensure end to end project success, and providing subject matter expertise across the lending and origination spectrum to maximize customer adoption. This key team member would:Establish a clear understanding of customers' current and future lending and origination goals.Communicate best practices for delivery of lending and origination solutions during pre-sales activities, project delivery, and ongoing customer engagement.Collaborate with customers and Moody's Sales and relationship management teams to discover, define, and formalize project engagements.Partner with customers on specifying business requirements and short-term and long-term loan origination transformation goals and metrics.Facilitate and lead requirements and design workshops to understand customers' loan origination processes and define how these processes can best be delivered utilizing our solutions.Lead and/or support the solution design process with key stakeholder teams.Produce Current and Target State Documentation based on facilitated project workshops.Actively engage in project execution by translating business needs to the project delivery teams and ensuring alignment with client requirements.Consult the project delivery team when critical decisions are required to help ensure customer business requirements and objectives are achieved.Attend and help prepare for customer steering committee meetings to relay progress, objectives, and demonstrate confidence in project delivery.Advise on testing approaches and procedures to ensure the customers' business objectives are achieved and consistently met with future upgrades.Partner with Customer Success Managers for continued customer engagement, best practice adoption, and sharing industry best practices.Minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent from an internationally recognized institution5+ years of banking and direct loan origination experience as a lender, underwriter, credit analyst, or similar role Strong, credible experience in commercial lending, loan pricing, loan structuring, loan origination, credit risk assessment practices, loan servicing, and covenants & loan monitoring for commercial real estate (CRE)Experience with C&I and Agriculture sectors is a plus.Prior experience with platforms such as Salesforce, nCino or LaserPro is a plus.Knowledge and experience in implementing, configuring, or administering commercial lending, loan origination and/or credit risk assessment software at a financial institution is a plus.Experience leading meetings, presentations, and/or workshops.Strong client orientation with commitment to client satisfaction Strong evidence of being self-disciplined, highly organized, able to multi-task, and attentive to detail in a fast-paced environmentStrong partnership and collaboration skills across stakeholder teams including Sales, Delivery, and Product Management teams.Strong communicator and relationship builderClear written and verbal communication skillsPrior experience authoring engagement contracts is a plus.Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of Microsoft Project and Microsoft Visio a plusWillingness to travel for key customer engagement milestones.Knowledge of Moody's Solutions including CreditLens, Relationship Pricing Analyzer, QUIQspread, RiskCalc, CMM, ImpairmentStudio is a plus.Technical skills related to C#, SQL, report writing, or knowledge of banking/lending systems architectures are a plus.Minimum fluency in English. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
