The Client Arrangements Supervisor will partner with our billing professionals and Billing & Accounts Receivable department in overseeing and implementing all client fee arrangements, as well as analyzing and ensuring compliance with any requirements contained in the client Outside Counsel Guidelines. This role will also benefit the Director of Billing and Accounts Receivable by taking ownership of the creation of processes and procedures to review outside counsel guidelines, summarize and communicate essential details, and implement billing rules. This position ensures timely and accurate implementation and enforces best practices and process improvement initiatives. This position thoroughly understands the client arrangements cycle and looks for opportunities for improvement.
As the Client Arrangements Supervisor, you will:
Manage all rate change requests using external data sources as well as own knowledge and expertise to ensure that rate change requests are in line with respective fee arrangements.
Oversee the review and analyzation of the Firm's client fee arrangements and Outside Counsel Guidelines to ensure that corresponding billing information is properly set-up in our financial and legal management system.
Effectively communicate the client fee arrangements and billing requirements to appropriate Firm personnel.
Evaluate our current processes surrounding client fee arrangements and identify opportunities for improvement.
Address questions and issues from Firm practice groups and clients that arise due to the set-up of billing information in our financial and legal management system.
Consult and collaborate with the Director of Billing and Accounts Receivable to establish and implement standard operating procedures and departmental policies.
Supervise and asses process improvement plans and projects and ensure milestone completion.
Contribute insight to IT and Financial Systems department to help build additional tools to assist in our processes.
Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships in order to promote collaboration between teams.
Lead collaborative communication with Billing Partners, Billing Specialists, eBilling Specialists, and other firm personnel to define client fee arrangements.
Formulate analysis of appropriate billing information to guide Billing Partners in developing fee arrangement proposals.
Communicate fee arrangement details and billing requirements to appropriate teams to ensure proper documentation and compliance.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required with a focus on Business or Accounting highly preferred
At least two (2) years of related work experience in legal billing required
High-level proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word) required
Legal billing and accounting software experience highly preferred
Iridium, PowerBI experience preferred
Experience with electronic billing systems, Aderant Expert and Rate Hierarchy highly preferred
Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail required
Strong client service, analytical and problem-solving skills required
Strong written and verbal communication skills required
Strong mathematical and analytical skills required
Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities required
Ability to handle and maintain confidential information required
Ability to work in a team environment and share knowledge required
The base annual pay range for this role is between $115,000-$150,000. The base pay to be offered will vary and depend on skills and qualifications, experience, location and will also take into account internal equity. A full range of medical, financial and/or other benefits dependent on the position will also be offered.
