Team/Program Introduction:
9th Way Insignia is looking for Telecommunications Technicians to assist in providing Base-Level Information Technology Services in direct support of the mission of the 66th Air Base Group (66 ABG) at Hanscom Air Force Base (HAFB), Massachusetts. The objective of this program is to secure, support, and sustain information and information systems, as well as support mission success through effective and efficient service delivery. Technical services provided by this effort are wide ranging to include:
Network Management
Cybersecurity
Web and Enterprise Information System (EIS) Support
Service Desk
IT Asset Management
Vulnerability Management and AF Enterprise Systems Support
Warehouse Management
The 9th Way Insignia team will work with Air Force managers, employees, and stakeholders to provide a high level of services throughout the 66 ABG Enterprise.
Responsibilities:
Install, upgrade, troubleshoot, move, add, change, configure and repair inside/outside (ISP/OSP) cable plants that supports DoD-provisioned voice, video, and data. This includes manholes, communications closets, communications cabinets, and all cable runs from network access and distribution points to the wall plates and from the wall plates to end-user devices.
Provide cable engineering support to base projects (renovations, upgrades, and new building construction) to include inside plant (ISP), outside plant (OSP), backbone cabling, structured cabling systems, grounding and bonding, pathways, and space, Page 24 of 73 Version 1.0 PWS for HAFB BLITS 3 26 JAN 202 3 .0 wireless, and communication closet design in accordance with UFC-580-01/02, ICS 705, applicable AFI's and DoD regulations.
Maintain Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) according to applicable Tool Management AFIs
Maintain supplies, equipment and other assets according to applicable property management AFIs.
Act as central managers for all communications (voice and data)/network conduit/inter duct, wiring closets/distribution points. Coordinate (for approval decision) all requests for installation and removal of cable with the government. Conduct quality assurance inspections for each, identifying deficiencies with recommended corrective actions to the government.
Identify, record and report any cable or infrastructure equipment found for which there is no record and/or has not been approved for operation by existing configuration management procedures (approved by the configuration management board or designated government official) and provide analysis (mission impact, vulnerabilities, risk management, etc.) and recommendation for leaving them in place or removing them.
Requirements:
Technical expertise is critical for the overall execution and success of the program. Candidates for this position must possess experience that meets or exceeds the following minimum requirements:
Journeyman: High School diploma and 3+ years of hands-on experience
Senior: High School diploma and 3+ years of hands-on experience
IAT Level II (CompTIA Security + CE)
Salary Range:
$43,000 to $77,042

This position requires a Top Secret with SCI Eligibility. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and will need to meet eligibility requirements.
