Team members are given the opportunity to explore the energy industry from the unique perspective of advising the most influential participants in the market.The Head of Power Transmission will lead FactSet and BTU Analytics analysis of the power transmission system including existing and planned infrastructure. In this role, you will work closely with the power generation development team and the regulated utility team to join data sets and analysis to drive value for our clients.Responsibilities:Guide data and product development for power transmission analysisLocate, gather, and analyze power data in a proficient and timely manner.Analyze power transmission system developments while quantifying the trends impacting the industry.Expand BTU's ongoing analysis of the power transmission system while maintaining BTU Analytics' current power data sets.Analyze large data sets, research market changes, and respond to client and internal inquiries on power data sets.Communicate effectively with our clients to tie our conclusions back to their own commercial decisions.Required Skills:Bachelor's Degree in Power Engineering, Applied Math, Physics, Mineral Economics, or related field of study.8-10+ years of experience working in an energy-related field, preferably power transmission.Experience with power market modeling, working with large datasets, and with Federal and ISO websites and data sources.Strong attention to detail, proactive nature, and ability to take ownership of tasks.Customer service skills, a "client-first" mentality, and willingness to learn how our data and analysis are used by our clients.Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, working independently and as part of a team.Ability to think critically in a high-pressured environmentComfortable speaking in front of groups.Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.SQL and/or python experience, a plus.Financial or economic knowledge/experience, a plus.Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.What's In It For You:Flexible work accommodations.
