Essential Duties & Responsibilities



  • Handling glass product from, tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates for 10 to 12 hours daily

  • Verify harp rack is free of broken glass and debris prior loading lites

  • Inspect Glass as comes out of furnace

  • Load/unload glass manually or with equipment

  • Verify glass dimension does not exceed load recommendation

  • Adhere tags to completed glass and place on harp racks/A-frames based on tag location requirements

  • Select the appropriate tagged glass and load onto harp racks/A-frames by size and dimension to ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed

  • Use appropriate glass separators for glass type to maintain quality control

  • Responsible for proper disposal of broken glass and general housekeeping within the department

  • Work in different departments as needed

  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements



  • Must at least be 18 years old

  • Able to work in a team environment

  • Detail oriented a must

  • Manual lifting requirements 50 lbs on a regular basis

  • At least one year of previous work experience in a fast-paced warehouse, manufacturing, or production facility, preferred


Physical Requirements



  • Ability to lift, bend, twist, walk, and reach frequently

  • Able to grip and carry thin material, such as glass

  • Able to walk/stand on a concrete floor for regular work shift (approx. 8-12 hrs a day, 5-6 days/week)

  • Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. frequently

  • Ability to work in varied temperatures consistent with the same climate conditions of the region in a non-climate-controlled facility (Heat, Cold, humidity, etc.)
