SUMMARY
Perform CAD drafting of setup, process, and inspection sheets and other specialty support equipment used in the manufacturing process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Work with Engineering to support creation of new drawings as well as revisions to existing documentation, as needed by the Engineering Department.
• Track and coordinate progress of documentation release throughout the lifecycle.

• Create and revise tool and fixture drawings in communication with Engineering and Operations.

• Implement, file and maintain documents.
• Create or revise documents used in-process in a clear, concise manner using graphic illustrations when needed and process through Change Control system.
• Maintain and assist engineer with changes to database
• Support multi-site department and documentation changes.
• Provide technical support for product inquiries as needed
• Follow all company safety policies and other safety precautions within the work area.
• Promote safety to all associates that enter the work area. Attend required safety training.
• Responsible for working on projects that deliver cost improvement dollar savings.
• Other responsibilities may be assigned and not all responsibilities listed may be assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent required, but some college preferred.

• CAD software training/certification strongly preferred.

• Experience with at least one CAD system required; Creo/Pro-E preferred
• Experience with a manufacturing and CNC metal cutting tools is a plus.
• Good communication skills, verbal as well as written.
• Good interpersonal skills that allow for interaction with multiple disciplines and organizational levels.
• Ability to prioritize work-schedules and coordinate multiple projects.

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools. Knowledge of Six Sigma tools is a plus.
• Demonstrate initiative in problem solving.
• Ability to lift and maneuver raw materials, tools, fixtures, and pieces of equipment.

• Technical Writing course work a plus.
