The Technical Training Manager is responsible for providing training and training resources our customers and partners can't live without. This role is accountable to lead and manager the Technical Training team and work with the content and sales training teams to assist in meeting shared goals. The focus of technical training is to improve equipment uptime through superior service and maximize customer's investment in Henny Penny equipment through training and understanding. The Technical Training Manager uses data driven decisions to drive engagement and effectiveness. Training is delivered online LMS, live streaming, via video on YouTube or Vimeo, in-person etc. The training manager measures the usage of content to show improvement and growth and measures effectiveness of content. This position has discretion to exercise judgment on matters of significance for the company and performs major assignments in conducting the operations of the business.

What You'll Be Doing



  • Grows, develops, and manages direct reports.


  • Collaborates to help create Technical Services and Technical Communications visions and goals.


  • Analyze and create business cases for new training technologies and systems


  • Grows Cyber Café (LMS) effectiveness and use for the Henny Penny distributor network and paid non-distributor use.


  • For Technical training, facilitate in-person and live streaming events to support our internal teams, distributor and non-distributor networks and drive attendance for these events and meet the needs of customers and service network.


  • Assesses Henny Penny Global technical training content needs. Prioritize and base future projects off this assessment.


  • Ensures consistency in training. Works closely with the technical publications team to collaborate and develop service content that is the foundation for training content.


  • Trains and educates team direct reports on process, standards used for Henny Penny technical training.


  • Collaborate with technical SMEs and stakeholders to ensure training needs are met.


  • Ensures consistency and accuracy of course curriculum.


  • Provide reports, monitors, and grows training metrics including usage of content and satisfaction of users.


  • Consistently models the Company Values and Expected Behaviors

What We're Looking For



  • Bachelor's Degree in communications related field or equivalent experience.


  • 3 years + experience in training and or management related fields.


  • Outstanding record of developing new ideas and creative solutions


  • Ability to create business cases to make decisions about training needs.


  • Advanced experience video and visual based processes


  • Proven ability to manage and maintain digital assets.


  • Proven ability to manage and develop a team.


  • Intermediate problem-solving skills


  • Intermediate Project/Program Management skills


  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills


  • Advanced ability to multi-task


  • Product knowledge (all product lines) a plus


  • Ability to meet objectives and goals.


  • Ability to create business cases and manage projects.


  • Ability to interact with and influence others effectively through teamwork and diplomacy.


  • Intermediate skill running usability studies.


  • Proven record of developing new ideas and creative solutions


  • Experience interpreting and communicating analytics
