City Experiences is seeking a Graphic Design Intern for our business operations.

An internship at the Hornblower Group is designed to provide students with the opportunity to gain experience in marketing and the hospitality industry in a fun and friendly environment. Upon joining our team, you’ll gain real-world skills by participating in the day-to-day activities of the marketing department, as well as networking within departments and learning from industry professionals.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Day-to-day delivery exhibits your creative abilities and strategic design concepts for all marketing channels including, but not limited to print advertising, digital advertising, social media, sales collateral, signage, vessels and other merchandising materials.

  • Work with teammates to maintain creative consistency across channels, ensuring all projects align with our brand strategy and creative vision.

  • Be a champion for the brand and uphold brand standards in all design

  • Proficient at managing own work and meeting deadlines.


Requirements & Qualifications:



  • Must be currently enrolled in a 4-year accredited university or college.

  • Must be pursuing an associate or a bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communications, advertisement, or related field.

  • Minimum 1 year of design experience within an in-house creative team, marketing or ad agency environment.

  • Strong aesthetic sense with advanced technical skills using Adobe CC (XD, InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop). Knowledge of HTML5, Google Web Designer or After Effects is a plus. Illustration skill is also a plus.

  • Experience with the online web development process, digital file format standards, social media platforms, browser compatibility, desktop and mobile, UX, wireframes and information architecture.


  • A keen eye for typography and composition for imagery selection. Experienced in developing infographics, icons and logos is a plus.

  • Demonstrate proficiency with building files for display advertising and print production – including pre-press and building files for final output.

  • Must have a portfolio to showcase the most current work.
