Job Title: Personal Care Attendant (Multiple Full Time Openings)

Location: Jacksonville, FL and St. Augustine, FL

Overview: Provides assigned residents with routine personal care in accordance with care standards and as directed by supervisor. The Personal Care Attendant is expected to take and pass the CNA exam within 90 days or enroll in a CNA course.

Specific Duties:

1) Assist residents with Daily Living Activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transfer, ambulation, toileting, and other resident needs under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.

2) Ensure the following tasks are completed on a daily basis: beds are made; trash has been removed from the room; meals are served to residents and maintain a high level of hygiene in the room.

3) Carry out Health Center department duties on a regular basis, acting within the reasonable scope of practice for a Nursing Assistant.

4) Comply with all applicable rules, policies, standards, and guidelines related to employment with Westminster and its communities.

5) Promote, communicate and uphold the mission of the organization.

6) Act and respond in a professional manner.

Position requirements:

1) Good communication skills.

2) Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

3) Ability to meet the physical demands of the position with or without reasonable accommodation, including: Balancing, Crouching, Manual Dexterity, Grasping, Kneeling, Pulling, Pushing, Lifting up to 30 pounds, Reaching, Standing, and Stooping.

4) Ability to meet the sensory/mental demands of the position with or without a reasonable accommodation, including: Feeling or Touching, Hearing, Seeing, Smelling, Speaking, and Masking.

5) Successful completion of a criminal background check.

6) Must have taken an 8-hour PCA course administered by a Registered Nurse.
