The successful candidate must have strong technical depth and a track record of successful product development efforts in the areas of FPGA development, high speed data transfer, digital board design, vision, and imaging pipeline.

You will collaborate and coordinate with a cross-functional product development team and will be supported by a management team that knows and cares about what you are doing and is a partner in your continued career development and success.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Represent Electrical Engineering on cross-functional team that designs and develops a novel surgical robotic platform:

    • Implement efficient FPGA designs of one or more of the following robotic system components: video signal processing, DMA, high-speed communications, sensors, motor control, and integration of modern embedded computing modules.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional partners in Electrical Engineering, Software Development and Systems Analysis to refine systems architecture and implementation.

    • Develop FPGA RTL in System Verilog as a senior team member.

    • Provide rapid development and iterative design support for the testing of new technology.

    • Work with cross functional teams to develop high and low level design requirements for a novel robotic system and its associated instrumentation and vision subsystem;

    • Develop, implement, test and document design solutions, according to clinical and market requirements.

    • Develop, test and evaluate prototypes balancing schedule and scope of the project; actively collaborate with other team members to bring-up, integrate and debug initial prototypes; iterate the design towards successful use in humans.
