Job Overview

The Director of Supply Chain will develop and maintain the strategy and operations to support efficient Supply Chain processes. The Director will generate, implement and execute strategies to effectively manage forecasting, and inventory, supply chain planning and execution.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to ensure sufficient capacity and redundancy exist at each stage of GLC supply chain.
• Collaborate with management team to ensure all aspects of product supply chain are well developed and maintained throughout product lifecycle to ensure a superior customer experience and a high level of service.
• Manage relationships with and performance of our existing customers, suppliers and logistics vendors.
• Manage relationships with and monitor performance of our logistics and fulfillment partners; oversee development of systems and processes to continually improve performance.
• Assess feasibility of building in-house logistics and fulfillment capabilities; lead development of initiatives as selected.
• Design/redesign supply chain processes and programs to build capacity and/or increase efficiency.
• Manage and lead Customer service transportation / logistics and master data teams along with Supply chain operations and planning.
• All GLC employees are expected to perform any assignment or job task according to the stated safety policies and procedures.
• All GLC employees are expected to produce our products in a manner that exceeds the quality and value expectation of our customers and consumers by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, Policies and Procedures outlined in our Safe Quality Food Program.
• Other duties as assigned by the manager.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
• 10 plus years of Supply Chain management experience or more.
• 5 years in a leadership role or more.
• 5 years of manufacturing/consumer goods industry experience or more.
• In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes in the food packaging industry with proven ability to provide technology solutions that improve business processes.
• Strong teamwork approach to problem solving with the ability to make sound, independent decisions based on functional expertise and experience.
• Ability to provide leadership, support, communication and direction.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot and problem solve beyond routine issues.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Master's degree.
• SAP/ERP project experience.
• Supply chain optimization project experience.

Working Conditions

• Work is performed in an office setting.

• Occasional exposure to industrial operations including: temperature extremes from approximately 35°F to 100°F; noise levels in excess of 85 dB; moisture and moving machinery.
