Colorado Retina has an exciting career opportunity for an experienced Human Resource Business Partner.

Summary:
The Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) will partner with the HR Director and company leadership in assuring the smooth and efficient delivery of HR processes, policies and services. Duties will include coaching managers, anticipating needs in the areas of employee relations, hiring, on-boarding, communication, and training. Functions include, championing our social media presence, deployment of strategic HR initiatives and streamlining recruiting methods for the organization. The HRBP will also assess and anticipate HR-related needs and help design metrics to track results.

Role and Responsibilities:

Collaborates with HR Director and responds to employee relations, ethics, and/or compliance investigations.
Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Collaborates with HR Director for routine compensation equity analysis and review.
Prepare managers for the compensation planning process and provide compensation budget information.
Collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for existing and open positions, aligning job descriptions.
Full-cycle recruiting as needed including job posting, screening, interview coordination, background checks and on-boarding and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates.
Performs routine tasks required to administer and deliver human resource programs including, disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety.
Assists with development of corporate, department and individual training.
Helps to compose and distribute written communication to employees on a variety of topics.
Help facilitate employee engagement and team buildings activities.
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
Develops plans for new hire orientation; partners with Payroll Benefit Manager.
Assists in ensuring HRIS and policy data reflects accurate state of company and employees.
Assures complex and/or sensitive matters are brought to the appropriate staff.
Helps in the development of employee engagement and team buildings activities
Champions the social media and branding messages by working closely with marketing.
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors.
Handles workers compensation claims and collects all relevant documentation.
Coordinate with team members and management to evaluate ADA, FMLA, and LOA requests; coordinates with Payroll Benefit Manager
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, payroll, talent management, and employment law.
Maintains knowledge of Payroll Benefit Manager and HR Director duties to act as a back-up if either is absent.
Partners with the HR Director and Payroll Benefit Manager to support the HR Department strategy.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Human Resources Director.


Education and Experience:

High School Diploma / GED
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is desired; and/or equivalent in training and experience.
3-5 or more years Human Resource experience required.
3 years Payroll and Benefit experience preferred.


Preferred Skills/Experience:

Excellent critical thinking skills, ability to diagnose problems, resolve conflict, and develop practical solutions.
Strong level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
Interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential concerns.
Ability to generate and make formal presentations on a variety of work-related topics on a regular basis required.
Knowledge of the practices and principles of Human Resources, including employment law.
Knowledge of relevant employment laws, basic understanding of labor relations and broad knowledge of all functional areas across HR.
Strong organizational, project management and change management skills required.
Ability to work effectively with and influence all levels of management and to communicate effectively with individuals from different cultures, socioeconomic and educational backgrounds.
SHRM Certification highly desired

Starting Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000
