Reporting Relationship & Scope

The AVP, Early Career Recruiting Manager will lead the development and execution of Chubb’s early career talent sourcing and recruitment strategies. This is a highly consultative, strategic, and collaborative role and an exciting opportunity to be involved in building a diverse and robust talent pipeline.  This role reports to the VP, North America Talent Acquisition.

The Early Career Recruiting Manager will manage a team of 4 recruiters and participate as a member of the North America Talent Acquisition leadership team.  They will closely partner with key business leaders, HR Business Partners, Culture Office and the North America Early Career Program Manager to ensure the early career recruiting strategy embraces concurrent priorities including attracting top early career talent to Chubb, racial diversity, gender balance and an array of personal and academic experiences to build the future talent of Chubb.

Primary Responsibilities

This role has overall responsibility for the end-to-end recruitment function for early career talent.  This includes building the sourcing strategy, implementing a collaborative and inclusive hiring process, educating and communicating with stakeholders, enhancing the manager and candidate experience and reporting on performance and progress.

Specific responsibilities include:


  • Partner with HRBPs and business leaders to establish annual headcount requests for Chubb Associates and Interns; facilitate the headcount approval process; provide direction for opening requisitions; track and report on hiring progress

  • Develop and execute strategy for attracting and engaging with early career talent with a focus on expanding the diversity of the talent pool.  Includes university and diversity organization partnership evaluation and selection, coordination of on-campus/virtual/digital recruitment efforts and collaborating with HRBPs and business leaders to broaden our reach into local markets.

  • Evaluate and implement approach for full-cycle recruiting process (sourcing, screening, interviewing, selecting, offers) for early career hires that effectively balances capacity of early career recruiting team with broader Talent Acquisition team, considers regional and business unit dynamics and supports diversity strategy. 

  • Facilitate manager and HR training on the early career hiring process and serve as the communications vehicle for questions related to early career recruiting

  • Leverage the internship program for Chubb Associate hiring and ensure a diverse early career talent pipeline

  • Partner with the Early Career Program Manager and other stakeholders to ensure effective orientation and onboarding for the incoming Chubb Associate and Intern classes

  • Set and execute effective communication strategy to all key stakeholders, during every stage of the process

  • Collaborate with Early Career Program Manager and other relevant parties to ensure recruiting messaging is aligned with Chubb Associate experience once hired. Recommend enhancements to the Chubb Associate experience as appropriate.

  • Partner with communications teams to review early career branding and align collateral with program objectives.

  • Drive process improvements and advocate for the relationships, tools and technologies that enable Chubb to build a diverse and robust early career talent pipeline.

  • Lead the reporting of key recruiting and diversity metrics, identify trends across early career hiring, and communicate learnings to stakeholders

  • Lead and develop the capabilities of early career recruiters

Qualifications:


  • Significant full-cycle recruiting experience is required; early career recruiting experience preferred

  • Experience leading people and/or projects

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post-secondary degree

  • Ability to think strategically and effectively execute strategies; a proven track record of results and drive for continuous improvement

  • Excellent project management skills and experience

  • Solution-oriented, critical thinker and problem solver who is proactive and responsive, has passion for excellence and willing to roll up sleeves

  • Strong professional and executive presence and maturity; excellent communication skills, positive attitude and action oriented

  • Ability to influence and advocate at all levels of the organization, balanced with good listening skills and desire to seek and consider diverse perspectives

  • Excellent interpersonal, consultative and communication skills; highly collaborative with demonstrated ability to build strong relationships at all levels in a matrixed organization.

  • Ability to deliver high-energy presentations internally and externally to audiences ranging from undergraduate college students to senior executives

  • Must be able to manage competing demands, accept criticism and constructive feedback, while being extremely adaptable and flexible.

  • Strong aptitude for understanding technology

  • Experience developing recruiting reports and dashboards to analyze, forecast, track and communicate key operational metrics and future predications

The pay range for the role is $102,000 to $168,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors.
