Summary: The Quality Tech, under general supervision, will perform a wide variety of tasks to ensure product and process quality as it relates to Titleist Custom Gear.
Perform first piece and in-process inspections on products being customized in-house. Make acceptance/rejection decisions in accordance with Titleist Gear Standard Operating Procedures. Evaluate product quality using established standards for specifications, materials & workmanship. Perform inspections on new logo setups as part of the Pre-Production Approval Process. Make acceptance/rejection decisions and work with Embroidery Digitizer/Graphic Technicians to resolve issues.
Perform appropriate inventory transactions to ensure proper reconciliation for in-house damaged pieces, customer and outside contractor returns. Perform appropriate receiving transactions in AGS for custom raw materials.
Maintain standards manuals including embroidery placement, special label placement and other program specifications. Ensure information is made available to in house and subcontractor. Act as support for in house and outside contractors when placement or logo quality questions arise.
Act as the process owner for incoming inspections, in-process audits, off- site audits and returned goods by prioritizing inspections, communicating with the internal stakeholders, and resolving issues using recognized problem-solving techniques.
Participate in continuous improvement efforts within Custom Gear Operation by identifying, planning, and implementing process improvement projects.
Perform initial training of new hire associates. Recertification training for existing associates. Perform ad hoc trainings as needs arise. All training should be in accordance with Custom Gear SOP's.
Evaluate and improve existing training materials continually to ensure latest best practices are sustained across custom gear operations.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree preferred.
Minimum of two years of experience in a quality testing/inspection role required. Textiles, sewing or embroidery knowledge preferred.
Ability to work with minimum supervision and flexible hours. Some overtime and Saturdays may be required.
Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
Excellent communication, both written and verbal as well as interpersonal skills with the proven ability to build strong working relationships, internal and external to the organization.
Must be a strong problem solver and be able to work independently.
Organizational Skills and Attention to Detail Required.
Strong Excel skills required. Experience with Microsoft Office.
Working proficiency of English which means a good command of the written and spoken language to be able to quickly learn the technical aspects of the job.
