Summary: Active leadership role focused on safety, quality, and productivity with a team-oriented approach to problem solving and continuous improvement. Responsible for schedule execution by partnering with key stakeholders and directing workflow to ensure delivery based on business needs. Supervise the day-to-day fabrication operations within a machine shop environment including facility start-up.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and lead associates tasked with machining experimental and production ball mold cavities, as well as fabrication and capital projects, in support of ball plant needs, projects and initiatives. Responsible for coordinating, coaching, and training associates to align with departmental and company-wide initiatives.
Supervise and oversee safety programs, compliance, and documentation. Responsible for full adherence and compliance, by all associates within the facility, to insure and maintain a safe and clean working environment for the well-being of all. Responsible for E, H & S auditing. This includes, but is not limited to, State Programs, 6S Audits, as well as Established Acushnet Company Safety Programs and Protocols.
Oversight responsibility for department quality assurance and delivery commitments.
Responsible for facility start up and facility systems operations. Responsible for documentation, training and daily operational oversight of all machine shop equipment and hydraulic press manufacturing requirements. Supervise PM on all machinery and equipment to reduce downtime and machinery damage.
Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and with a minimum of one year of supervisory/leadership experience required. Associates Degree and a minimum of two years of manufacturing maintenance/machine shop experience required and two years of manufacturing supervisory/leadership experience preferred. A High School Diploma and five years of manufacturing maintenance/machine shop experience required, and two years of supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
Must have experience in a manufacturing/machine shop environment and managing technical projects including electromechanical assemblies. Demonstrated leadership experience supporting manufacturing and/or skilled trades. Must be able to read manufacturing drawings of mechanical parts and assemblies.
Must be able to be present in the manufacturing and machine shop environment on a regular basis for extended periods of time and is therefore, subject to normal exposures to dust, heat, chemicals, and noise present in a manufacturing environment.
Must have knowledge of CNC and hydraulic machines such as lathes, mills, EDM, saws and presses. Must have knowledge of inspection equipment such as calipers, pin gages, indicators and CMM. Elevated working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Preferred experience using computer software such as SolidWorks, MainSaver and IBM Notes
