Job Description Summary
The Marketing and Outreach Manager manages all outreach and promotion initiatives in Penn Abroad, and leads the Penn Abroad student experience as well as activities and events aimed at increasing student awareness of and participation in global opportunities at Penn. The position oversees the design and maintenance of departmental websites and social media platforms and produces a broad range of promotional materials including newsletters, print and electronic media, written content, an annual report, and other publicity. The position plans, coordinates, and executes high priority events in support of campus internationalization efforts and works closely with the broader Penn Global division on such priorities. The Marketing and Outreach Manager has responsibility for the student experience, including oversight of the Penn Abroad reception, and supervises the Global Programs Assistant and two student worker positions.
In collaboration with Penn Abroad & Penn Global leadership, manage the delivery and evolution of a comprehensive marketing and outreach strategy, including the creation of promotional materials and content
Plan, manage and execute high priority events as agreed in the marketing and outreach strategy, including the Penn Abroad Fair, and
other events central to the mission of Penn Global
Manage Penn Abroad's online platforms, including the Penn Abroad website and all social media
Manage the in-office student experience including oversight of the Penn Abroad reception and the Global Programs Assistant
Actively identify marketing and outreach opportunities for Penn Abroad & Penn Global, including promotion of the Penn Abroad brand to relevant stakeholders
Supervise and support the continual development of the Global Programs Assistant, and supervise student workers
A Bachelor's Degree and two to three years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, social media management, video editing, web design and event planning strongly preferred.
