This position will be responsible for processing departmental human resources functions, including all required operations related to new hire onboarding, bi-weekly time approvals and verifications, reappointments, terminations, job postings, position updates and changes, and other key functions. This position will ensure compliance with university policies related to human resources. This position will serve as a departmental point of contact for employees on general human resources concerns and questions, including interpreting policies and connecting employees with needed resources/support.
This position will ensure all procurement and travel transactions are completed in compliance with university policies and within established timelines. This position will process the p-card and t-card transactions for multiple card holders in the assigned offices. This position will advise on the allowability and appropriateness of proposed transactions and will reconcile the transactions to university budgets. This position will submit purchase orders and submit receipts for payment. This position will support the assigned offices with processing of contacts and agreements with vendors to support university business operations. This position will collect payments for certain university operations. This position will maintain collaborative and productive working relationships with relevant vendors and university departments, including the Controller's Office, Procurement, and the FSU Foundation.
This position will work with appropriate leadership to develop annual and project budgets for all assigned offices. This position will monitor the budgets and ensure encumbrances, planned expenses, and actual expenses are accurately reflected and reconciled to university ledgers on an ongoing basis in compliance with university policies. This position will understand and advise on the appropriate use of multiple types of budgets, including E&G, E&G carryforward, vending, contract & grant, in-kind, foundation, and student fee budgets.
This position will ensure revenue transactions are completed in compliance with university policies and within established timelines. Coordinates the accounts receivable process for multiple auxiliary operations, monitoring revenue and cash transactions on the general ledger, reporting to leadership of auxiliary funded programs.
Interprets University policies, procedures, and rules relating to University Accounting, to Human Resources, and Collective Bargaining. Provides recommendations on the development and implementation of new programs, policies, and procedures for the Provost Office. Evaluates program efficiency and effectiveness. Recommends, develops, and initiates service delivery improvements.
QualificationsA Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.)
