POSITION SUMMARY:
The Community College of Aurora invites applications for an Engineering Faculty position in the Computer Technology, Engineering, & Physics (CTEP) Department, with responsibilities that include teaching engineering courses and other courses in the successful candidate's areas of specialization.
Faculty duties include teaching and service. Teaching responsibilities include the coordination, planning, preparation, presentation, and evaluation of classroom instruction and related activities. Teaching responsibilities should be aligned with individual, department, school, and college goals. In order to ensure the success of our diverse student population, Faculty members maintain a commitment to high-quality instruction, student-centered philosophies, and the ongoing pursuit of excellence through professional development. Importantly, Faculty members share a commitment to and exemplify principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion in all work done within the department and as part of the college community.
Service can include, but is not limited to, curriculum coordination and development; advising and outreach; system, college-wide and campus committee work; sponsoring and participating in student activities; and attendance at college activities and events.
