The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Radiology, with subspecialty expertise in Breast Imaging. Experience in leadership roles is considered a positive. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D or equivalent degree. Applicants must be certified by the American Board of Radiology or equivalent.
Teaching responsibilities may include daily clinical supervision of residents and breast imaging fellows and lecturing to medical students, radiology residents, fellows, and trainees from other departments. The successful candidate will be an accomplished educator and be expected to serve in an educational leadership role within the Breast Imaging Division.
Clinical responsibilities may include the full spectrum of clinical breast imaging including digital breast tomosynthesis, US, MRI, and interventional procedures.
The Breast Imaging Division at Penn Medicine is dedicated to the tripartite mission of clinical excellence, research, and education and has a long history of leadership in the field. We are seeking individuals to lead the division into the future. The scope will include breast imaging across the 3 Philadelphia-based academic hospitals: Hospital of the University of PA, Penn Presbyterian Hospital, and Pennsylvania Hospital, including approximately 12 faculty; and performing approximately 36,000 exams and procedures yearly. The division runs a robust fellowship program in addition to its contributions to resident education. In addition, the division maintains strong clinical and translational research programs including extensive collaboration with basic imaging research laboratories. The successful candidate will be expected to recruit, support, and mentor faculty specializing in Breast Imaging and collaborate with other leaders in the department, cancer center, and hospital entities.
