Job Description:




A full-time administrative Associate Director of Career Development for Co-ops and Internships is available beginning summer 2023. The Associate Director will lead internship and coop efforts across all academic areas including employer development, student preparation and success, and assessment efforts to increase the participation in and impact of these experiences. This individual will work directly with students, faculty, academic leadership and employers.




This will include work with all academic areas, with emphasis on the Graham School of Business, coordinating and collaborating with the Associate Director for Employer Relations and the school liaisons in the Career Center to maintain site relationships, develop new sites and promote opportunities, and prepare students for experiences. Additionally, the Associate Director for Co-ops and Internships contributes to assessments of these experiences, assists with overall office operations including individual appointments and workshops, job fairs, partnerships with campus departments and special projects.






Requirements:




The candidate must have completed a Master's degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Business or a related field and have 3-5 years of professional experience in collegiate Career Development or the recruitment, selection and onboarding of students for experiential education opportunities positions. Direct experience developing effective relationships, providing training & development, facilitating student appointments, classroom presentations and related services is required. Evidence of collaborative relationships across departments, with faculty partners and holistic support of student learning is required.




Additionally the candidate should demonstrate excellent communication, presentation and teaching skills; knowledge of best practices & professional standards in internship/coop programs and career development; adaptable and results-oriented professional with ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams; Experience with best practices in credit based internships & coops and knowledge of related technologies preferred.
