The Johns Hopkins Hospital-
Zayed 12 West is a 32-bed adult inpatient unit composed of a 14 acute and 6 bed Neuroscience IMC, and a 12-bed brain rescue unit (BRU). The unit includes a Joint Commission-Advanced Certification in its Comprehensive Stroke Center which cares for acute stroke (hemorrhagic and ischemic), transient ischemic attacks, vasculitis, carotid and vertebral dissection, and subarachnoid hemorrhage. You may care for a spectrum of patients with seizures or any disease that would affect the brain or spinal column.


The Lead Clinical Nurse provides guidance and direction to staff and acts in the absence of the Assistant Nurse Manager/Nurse Manager to oversee a clinical team during care delivery and unit operations.




Shifts:
12 Hour Day Shifts




Qualifications
:


  • BSN/MSN from an accredited nursing program required.
  • Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required
  • BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted
  • The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of acute care RN work experience
  • Ability to lead others, assist in development & implementation of procedures for the unit, use principles of conflict resolution, recommend resource utilization, and implement performance management of staff.
  • RN work experience in the neuroscience specialty is preferred.
