The Records and Registration Coordinator provides high quality service and administrative support for the Office of Records and Registration. The Records and Registration Coordinator works to ensure compliance with published policies and procedures, as well as accuracy relating to all student academic records. Additionally, the Records and Registration Coordinator will deliver professional customer service to all campus stakeholders, including but not limited to, students, faculty and staff and will execute all functions in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
Performs a variety of data management and technical duties in support of the daily operations for the Office of Records and Registration. Utilizes the student information system to aid in registration, forms processing and accurately updating student academic records. Performs regular audits of student records to identify discrepancies and collaborates with supervisor to achieve resolution.

Serves as first-level contact for all office inquiries from students, faculty, alumni, staff and the public, and responds promptly to inquiries. Interprets and understands institutional and departmental policies and procedures to provide academic support to students, advising units and academic departments. Resolves day-to-day issues related to student records and registration.

Oversees the creation and/or distribution of academic documents such as official transcripts, certifications of degree, enrollment verifications, and other related materials that support student success. Responsible for associated cash handling, check processing, and deposits.

Works closely with other members of the Registrar's team, lending assistance with routine and project work. Responsible for monitoring and ordering office supplies.
Provides support in the execution of Commencement ceremonies. Performs other duties as assigned. During declared campus emergencies, this position may be required to perform specific job related duties at a designated off campus location or place of residence.

Acts as needed as backup support with Records and Registration jobs and processes.
A Master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university in a directly related area of specialization; or a Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university and two years of experience directly related to the job functions.

Ability and knowledge necessary to conduct detailed analysis of academic records. Ability to prioritize workload while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail despite interruptions; meet shifting deadlines with flexibility; work as part of a team during peak times. Commitment to customer service excellence. Effective oral and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, etc. and other Windows based programs.

This position has been designated as a Campus Security Authority (CSA). This position has been designated as a CSA because it involves significant responsibility for student and campus activities and/or responsibility for campus security. As such, any person in this position must report to the University Police Department a crime or an incident that might be a crime that he/she becomes aware of. This position has a reporting requirement because the University believes that responsibility for students, campus activities and/or campus security will make the holder of this position someone members of the University community will see as an authority figure and someone to whom they can seek help. A CSA is not expected to investigate or determine whether a criminal incident actually took place. A CSA's responsibility is a duty to report. All positions designated as CSAs are required to complete an online or in-person training session.
