Nursing Practice and Professional Development Specialist



The Johns Hopkins Health System is looking for Nurse Educators to join their growing team! As a Nursing Practice and Professional Development Specialist (NPPDS), you would be servicing Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, as well as, The Johns Hopkins Hospital East Baltimore Campus. In this role, you would be responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs and activities for various nursing departments. You will play a vital role in leading change in pursuit of improved nursing practice and professional development.


This specific position will support the Supplemental Staffing Unit. You will be responsible for creating and implementing structures and processes that support the standard onboarding, education, and ongoing competencies of supplemental staff resources to assure competency across clinical settings and designated affiliates. This will include the participation in the development of centralized processes for educational opportunities and clinical orientations for a variety of clinical roles in varied specialty areas and patient populations. The ideal candidate will have acute care experience in an academic medical hospital and experience in the field of nursing education to include advanced knowledge of systems-level change management.





Who Should Apply:



  • Master's degree from an accredited school of nursing
  • Current registered nurse licensure in the state of Maryland
  • Active BLS CPR certification
  • 5 years of nursing experience. Minimum of three years of nursing experience in an acute care setting
