Juniata College invites applications for a visionary, energetic, and innovative faculty member to lead the recently approved Exercise Science and Kinesiology program. Rank open based on qualifications and experience. Position has possibility of becoming tenure track. Expected start: June 2023.

Teaching assignments will include introductory through upper-level courses in exercise science and kinesiology including biomechanics and other related courses as needed. Administrative duties include curriculum design, assessment, pursuit and maintenance of CAAHEP-CoAES accreditation, development of clinical partnerships, and the scheduling and staffing of courses. This position will require creative collaboration with faculty, athletics, and other administrators; a student-centered approach to teaching and advising; assistance with student career development; participation in scholarly and professional development activities; and contribution to the development of the program and the college.

Qualified candidates will possess a doctorate in Exercise Science or closely related field. An ideal candidate will possess teaching experience, related professional experience and certifications, an active scholarly agenda, a willingness to improve and grow the exercise science and kinesiology program, demonstrated ability to collaborate, effective communication skills, and a strong commitment to teaching and experiential learning.

This position is within the Biology Department.
