Requirements



Facilitating and coordinating care by providing evidence-based care based on the nursing process, policies, procedures, and protocols of the Johns Hopkins Health System.


Providing direction to/management of other team members to promote quality, safety, and excellence in care.


Working collaboratively with, and providing leadership for, a multidisciplinary health care team to support program initiatives that support quality, safety, and excellence in care.


Participating in promoting improvement initiatives (clinical, financial, operational) that supports, protects and promotes area of specialty.


Implementing initiatives in area of specialty as directed by nursing and medical leadership.


Fostering a clinical environment of service excellence.


*Work hours: 36 hours; 6:30a-7p; or 9a-9:30p (M-F rotating day off) Rotating day off (block/set schedule will not be accommodated)




EPIC Roles: Circulator, Scrub




Will do call: On call 5-6 weekday and 1 weekend/holiday per 6 week schedule




The OR closes at night and on the weekend, on call covers when OR has closed - On call covers emergency cases.




So if you are on call on a Saturday - you only come in for an emergency-You are not scheduled to work a shift on Saturday - just to cover call for an emergency case.




Call is scheduled when ORs are closed - evening/nights, weekends and holidays.



Qualifications



Must have:

• Current registered nurse license in the state of Maryland, or licensed in a compact state


• Current CPR certification.


• 2 years of recent OR experience
