The Surgical Technologist I - Sibley Ambulatory Surgery Center (SASC) possesses knowledge of aseptic/surgical technique and is able to provide surgical technical skills for patients undergoing a wide variety of operative procedures. The Surgical Technologist I - SASC selects, plans, organizes, and effectively utilizes required instrumentation when assisting the scrub role. The Surgical Technologist I works as a member of the surgical team and is responsible to assist the surgeon and circulating nurse with assigned duties.


The Surgical Technologist II - Sibley Ambulatory Surgery Center (SASC) possesses advanced knowledge of aseptic/surgical technique and is able to anticipate the required instrumentation for each step of a surgical procedure. The Surgical Technologist II - SASC serves as a resource person for specialty cases and demonstrates working knowledge of specialty equipment/instrumentation. Serves as a primary preceptor for inexperienced Surgical Technologists and acts as a resource for other staff orienting to the scrub role in the operating room.


Location: Washington D.C.


Full time Days - 6:45 am - 3:30 pm


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
1. High school graduate or equivalent.
2. Successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist training program.
4. Minimum of 1 year Surgical Technologist experience is required.


4. Current BLS/CPR Certification required.


5. Certification as Surgical Technologist required for Surgical Technologist II

Day Shift- full time Start: 7:00am End: 5:30 pm
