Position Summary:



The Quality & Training Specialist will establish and maintain effective quality, safety, training, and performance improvement programs throughout the Imaging Department. The manager will work directly with the Chair, Administrator, and Operations Manager to ensure compliance, training, and reporting objectives and goals are met. The Quality & Training Specialist, with the assistance of respective lead personnel and operations manager, will develop training and education materials, conduct staff training, assess competency and quality controls for all modalities to ensure annual compliance and quality standards are met. The Quality & Training Specialist will produce reports and analytics to support strategic decision making.


Ensure all Imaging clinical staff meet current education and training requirements
A. Works with managers/supervisors/leads to coordinate in-service training on new equipment
B. Works with managers/supervisors/leads to ensure that technologists are adequately trained on new applications within their respective discipline
C. Maintains current training guides for all modalities; drafting material as needed to ensure processes are consistent with practice.
D. Ensure new personnel complete orientation and onboarding
E. Ensure that all technologists licenses, certifications, etc. are current
F. Ensure that all clinical competencies are maintained and current
G. Continually and consistently educate and train employees about procedure and protocol changes.


Quality
A. Develop and maintain quality assurance standards and processes, ensuring quality controls/quality assurance results are within specified guidelines.
B. Performs quality audits and tracks metrics related to outcomes; coordinates the execution and use of tools for audits.
C. Conduct monthly analysis and reporting of quality metrics for all areas of responsibility
D. Collaborate in the development of policies and procedures across the enterprise.
E. Work with managers/supervisors/leads to adopt and adapt best practices from other facilities to harmonize across the enterprise.
F. Assist in data collection, analysis, and writing/editing of reports and other materials.


Safety
A. Act as department liaison for patient and staff safety reporting tool, performing initial reviews, conducting investigations and providing feedback.
B. Collaborate with manager/ leads/supervisor in establishing policy, procedures and protocols.


Special Projects


A. Perform data analytics for the Imaging Department
B. Collaborate with ancillary departments to provide data analysis, as required
C. Assist in establishing new work flows to improve efficiency across the department
D. Submit applications, surveys and supporting documentation to governing and credentialing bodies to maintain necessary licenses and certifications.
E. Other duties as assigned



Education/Experience:



Work requires the level of knowledge typically acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Radiological Sciences, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or a closely related field, and three years of previous experience as a technologist; bachelor's degree may be substituted for equivalent years of experience.



Licensure/Certification:



ARRT , ARDMS or CNMT certification required
