7:30AM - 3:30PM with ROTATING weekends
2:30PM - 11:00pm with ROTATING weekends
Requirements
Greeting of patient and/or family when first entering room. Engaging with customers in a manner that establishes confidence with clear and professional language.
Cleans and services patient areas, baths, laboratories, educational facilities, corridors, utility rooms and beds.
Dust floors, furniture and equipment, cleans window sills, empties wastebaskets, arranges furniture and equipment in an orderly fashion. Engages in conversation with patient while sharing the chemical name and cleaning process to build confidence with patient.
Straightens patient belongings and organizes room (with patient permission). This can include putting items away in closets, straightening toiletries in bathroom, straightening magazines, placing robe and/or slippers to the side. Offer to place suitcase or overnight bag in closet.
Scours and polishes bathtubs, sinks, mirrors and similar fixtures.
Replenishes supplies of disinfectants, soaps, and towels used for patients.
Remove soiled linen from patient rooms, and transports to collection spot.
Examines replacement linen to ensure all items are clean with no stains, rips or tears. If damaged places items into “rag out bag”, for removal of use cycle.
Before exiting room inform patient of contact information and ask the question “is there anything else I can do for you?” If there is complete patient request.
Cleans and polishes glass panels in doors and partitions.
Keeps storage areas in good order and arranges supplies.
Cleans and disinfects beds, bed stands, utensils, sterilizes, and wheelchairs.
Vacuums carpets, spot cleans upholstered furniture, and dusts Venetian blinds.
Removes drapery and cubical curtains when needed.
Cleans shower stalls, shower rooms, water fountains, chute doors, all hall fixtures to include lights, and stationary ice containers.
Draws supplies as needed form the environmental service's department.
Conforms to all life safety regulations.
Reports to the Director of Environmental Services any articles or equipment requiring replacement or repair
Qualifications
Six (6) months of continuous employment is required.
