Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT), provider of automated software testing, data analysis, and cybersecurity solutions for complex, mission-critical systems in the US Department of Defense (DOD), is seeking an Sr. Systems Administrator to be based in our Fall River office.
Overview:
The Senior Systems Administrator will design, implement, test, and manage software, hardware, and networks to provide a Hyperconverged Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). Key to this role is having both extensive systems administration experience as well as knowledge of implementing cybersecurity principles in compliance with DoD policies. The individual that fills this role will be a technical member of one more project teams with the natural ability to provide both leadership and mentorship to associate and mid-level resources.

Responsibilities Include:
Install and configure hardware and software technology infrastructure across multi-vendor platforms.
Implement technologies in accordance with IS security policies and guidelines.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals are met within agreed upon timelines, within budget and best available security.
Ability to interact with customers to solicit business requirements and convert into technical solutions with implementation methodologies to obtain goals.
Provide administration and engineering support to internal and external customers including in classified tactical laboratories
Perform technical evaluations to provide alternative solutions and improve systems administration and engineering processes.
Prepare clear and concise technical documentation for both internally and external use
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent
Minimum 10 years' of related experience is required, 5+ years of experience in a security position is preferred.
Required skills:
Experience with hyperconverged infrastructure design, operation, and maintenance
Advanced Linux (Red Hat) and Windows System Administration
Familiarity with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and DoD Cybersecurity requirements
Working knowledge of identifying and applying DISA STIGs and or SRGs
Ability to install, configure, and execute cybersecurity scans using tools such as NESSUS, ACAS, and SCAP
Proficiency in MS Windows and Office Suite
Preferred skills:
Experience with VMware product functionality and configuration including ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, and VDS
Applied understanding of basic and advanced networking concepts including but not limited to DHCP, DNS, Firewalls, NTP, vLANs
Experience with switch configuration (Cisco/PuTTY)
Ability to develop and execute automated remediation solutions using various scripting technologies such as Ansible and PowerCLI
