Who you are:
As a Pharmacy Supervisor for Johns Hopkins HealthCare, you are responsible for the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy coordinator team. You develop and initiate the direction, goals and objectives for department service levels to ensure the processing of prior authorization requests in compliance with policies and procedures. You bring extensive knowledge of Pharmacy Benefit Management and the health insurance industry. You are known for your ability to communicate with and motivate your staff to achieve results as well as make process improvements. You are the coach, the trainer, and the subject matter expert.
What you'll do:
Plan, direct, and manage work flow and project assignments
Supervise and coordinate work activities to achieve service level goals and productivity as required.
Evaluate productivity and quality of work, and report individual and department performance on a weekly and monthly basis.
Perform detailed analyses of work processes and output in an effort to continuously improve both.
Coordinate resolution of complex customer service issues regarding pharmacy services and serves as resource to Pharmacy Claims Coordinators on issues that require additional assistance.
Responsible for training and evaluation of staff, compliance monitoring and productivity reporting.
Work with management to develop policies, procedures, and business work plans for the team.
Ensure proper training for all new and existing employees as needed.
Provide ongoing performance feedback and professional development to each employee on a routine basis. This time is used to assist, motivate, and train employees to enable them to meet or exceed requirements and standards.
Conduct formal performance reviews.
Resolve intra-departmental conflicts and takes disciplinary action when necessary.
What you'll bring:
5+ years' of managed care pharmacy experience in a prior-authorization/call center setting. This should include:
2+ years' previous experience in a supervisory capacity.
Experience with ACD phone systems and pharmacy prior-authorization work flow preferred.
Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent.
