Job Description:

Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Admissions, this position will be responsible for student engagement and recruitment in assigned territory in South Florida. This position will drive a vehicle to visit local high schools and state colleges and participate in local fairs to encourage student enrollment through one of UFs many paths for admission - UF residential, UF Online, Innovation Academy, or PaCE. The position will host information sessions virtually and in person to provide details about the opportunities to enroll at UF through one of its pathways. The position will interact with local high school counselors and state college advisors in order to describe the opportunities available to prospective students. The position will meet with prospective students, parents, and school counselors to answer questions about UF.


Provides general admissions counseling, freshman application review, planning and implementation of all admissions related events. Responds to general inquiries related to UF Admission policies and processes via phone, email, virtually, and in person.


In addition to student engagement, this position will also engage local Gator Clubs and affiliate groups to assist in student recruitment, career development, and other networking opportunities. This position will train local alumni volunteers to assist with student recruitment programming. Engage with local Community Based Organizations (CBOs) and other organizations with an emphasis on access and outreach to underrepresented and diverse student populations in South Florida.


Expected Salary:

$60,000 annually


Minimum Requirements:

Master's degree in an appropriate area; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience.

Valid Driver's License is required.


Preferred Qualifications:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work and communicate across a variety of socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds.
• Ability to exercise good judgment and work with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated abilities in leadership, problem solving and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Fluency in Spanish.
