Provides direct assistance to the primary surgeon during surgical procedures
Performs peri-operative assessment of patients under the direction and supervision of the attending physician
24 hours of scheduled shifts every 6 week schedule
12 hours of weekend call every 6 week schedule
One - two holiday call shifts every year
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Certification by the Association of Surgical Assistants, CPR Certification
EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of two years' experience as first assistant.
