POSITION SUMMARY:

EC Registration Supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, directing, controlling and assisting all staffing functions of the EC Registration. Responsible for effective operations, work schedules, on-going training, and maintenance of the Departmental and Hospital Policies and Procedures. Responsible for auditing staff registrations to include but not limited to Insurance Verification, Coordination of Benefits, Eligibility, Point of Service Collections, Patient Portal and the Health Information Exchange. Requires integral communication with patients, insurance companies, department administrators, physicians, and other departmental staff to ensure the ideal patient experience.



Location: St. Petersburg, FL



Hours: 2:00pm-10:00pm Evenings



QUALIFICATIONS:



Bachelor's degree


3 years clinical/nonclinical Emergency Room experience or a medical facility setting (or acute care setting)


Comprehensive knowledge of third party payer requirements, computer literacy, and excellent customer service skills; knowledge of signature requirements


Experience with Medicaid and Medicaid HMOs and working knowledge of CMS and other governmental programs
