The Food Service Associate may work anywhere on the property where food is prepared and served. This person will assist in setup and serving of food from counters and steam-tables. Duties will include cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work stations. The responsibilities will vary among the exact work area, depending on business necessities and department requirements.

Hours: Rotating 6:30a-3p and 3p-11:30p

Location- All Children's Hospital- St. Petersburg, Florida


Read recipes and/or production directions for accuracy of menu items

Operate a variety of kitchen utensils to weigh, measure, mix, wash, peel, cut, grind, stir, strain and season and kneed foodstuffs for cooking, serving and storing.

Assists in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods, and properly stores food, utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage; ensures food safety and food quality in all menu items being served.

Inspects workstations for compliance with service standards to ensure all sanitation requirements are met.

Clean and sanitize work-stations and equipment following all Sodexo, client and regulatory rules and procedures to ensure compliance with all agencies.

Serves, replenishes, and stocks food in kitchen and service and service areas while providing the highest quality of customer service.

Understand and follow department cash handling policies and procedures for theft prevention, accuracy and customer satisfaction.


High School diploma/GED.

Knowledge of basic food service operations, patient feeding and/or cash register experience required.

Must be available to work a shift between the hours of 6:30a and 11:30p to include some weekends
