Job Summary:


Caterer:
Under general direction employee may assume the lead role and provide general supervision of catered events.

  • Employee will review and maintain event records; participate in meetings and discussions; plan and organize; serve food and provide excellent customer service; perform event follow-up activities; maintain catering equipment and Dining Services facilities.
  • Duties will include planning and organizing catered events,
  • Requisitioning products and equipment,
  • Coordinating product pick-up and delivery,
  • Directing other food service employees,
  • Maintaining safety and sanitation standards.
  • Required skills: customer service, organization, communication, self-motivation.
  • This a is 10 month cyclic position with the possibility to pick up shifts during cyclic time off.

Required Qualifications:


  • Food Handler’s Permit
  • One year experience in high volume or institutional food preparation and serving
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience delivering excellent customer service
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Candidate must demonstrate interest, ability and/or experience promoting cultural competency, universal accessibility and/or diversity.











Preferred Qualifications:


1 year of college or university food service experience.
1 year of catering experience.
1 year of fine dining experience.

Conditions of Employment:


  • This position, during the course of university employment will be involved in the receipt of, or accountability for, university funds or other items of value; as well as the unsupervised access with the developmentally disabled, vulnerable adults or children under the age of 16. Salary Information: $37,920 – $47,940/year
