Job Summary:
Caterer: Under general direction employee may assume the lead role and provide general supervision of catered events.
Employee will review and maintain event records; participate in meetings and discussions; plan and organize; serve food and provide excellent customer service; perform event follow-up activities; maintain catering equipment and Dining Services facilities.

Required Qualifications:
Food Handler’s Permit
One year experience in high volume or institutional food preparation and serving
High School Diploma or GED
Experience delivering excellent customer service
Valid Driver’s License
Candidate must demonstrate interest, ability and/or experience promoting cultural competency, universal accessibility and/or diversity.
Preferred Qualifications:
1 year of college or university food service experience. 1 year of catering experience. 1 year of fine dining experience.

Conditions of Employment:
This position, during the course of university employment will be involved in the receipt of, or accountability for, university funds or other items of value; as well as the unsupervised access with the developmentally disabled, vulnerable adults or children under the age of 16.
